YF CAR RENTAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1.      The Renter further agrees to make a deposit of RM 100.00 with the Owner, said the deposit to be used, in the event of loss or damage to the vehicle or equipment   during the term of this Car Rental Agreement, to defray fully or partially the cost of necessary repairs or replacement or deodorize.

2. Smoking in the rented vehicle is strongly prohibited. Deposit of RM 100 will not be returned to the Renter.

3.  No refund for any cancellation/amendment. Any amendment date and type of car are subject to availability.

4.      The Renter hereby agrees that he/she shall be held fully responsible for all the loss of or damage to the vehicle or equipment during the term of this Car Rental Agreement whether caused by collision, fire, flood, vandalism, theft, or any other cause. [Except that shall be determined to be caused by a fault or defect of the vehicle or equipment]

5.      The rented vehicle shall not be used to carry passengers, property for hire, goods or materials in excess of the rated weight carrying capacity of the vehicle.

6.      The rented vehicle shall not be used to push, propel, or tow another vehicle, trailer, or any other thing without the written permission of the Owner. The rented vehicle also shall not be used for any race or in any competition, any illegal purpose, and shall not be operated in a negligent manner.

7.      The rented vehicle shall not be operated by any other person other than the Renter stipulated in 1.1 above without the written permission of the Owner. If the rented vehicle was driven by someone other than the Renter, a deposit of RM 100 will be taken as fine payment.

8.      The Renter must be physically and legally qualified to operate the above-described vehicle, have a valid legal license and that there are no warrants outstanding against his/her license.

9.      The Renter agrees to indemnify, hold harmless and release the Owner for any damages, injuries, loss of property or life, and any inconvenience suffered whilst operating the vehicle and during the term of the rental of the vehicle.

10.   The Renter is fully responsible for damage as a result of illegal, negligence, careless actions, tire punctures, burst tire, fuel errors, loss or damage to the vehicle accessories and damage to windows, mirror, and undercarriage.

11.   Renter shall pay compensation of RM 100- RM 136 per day throughout the car repair period in the event of an accident of the rented vehicle.

12.   If the accident or damage to the vehicle is caused by third party vehicles, the Renter is responsible for getting all the third-party details such as vehicle registration number, driver's name and driving license number. If the claims cannot be made against third party insurance, therefore all damage will be borne by Renter.

13.   The Renter is required to inform our company and make a police report within 24 hours from the time of an accident or from the time the Renter found out the theft or loss and get police report in writing.

14.   The Renter is responsible for all parking fees or Traffic/JPJ/DBKK fines/compound incurred during the rental period.

15.   The rental area is within a radius of 200km from Keningau City. Driving over 200km from Keningau such as Sandakan, Kinabatangan, Kudat, Tawau and others is PROHIBITED. The renter shall pay extra fees of RM200-RM480 if violation is conducted.

16.   Delivery and collection are FREE in Keningau City. Outside Keningau City (eg: Kg. Keningau, Kg Biah, Ansip, Patikang Laut, and others) will incur a charge of RM 10-30.

17.   One missing bar of fuel indicator from the initial reading will incur a charge of RM20 per bar.

18.   The Owner has the right to apply brake charges of RM10-50 to the Renter.

19.   Mileage limit is 300 KM per day. Over 300 KM will be charged RM 0.50 per KM.

20.   Any scratch of the vehicle during the rental period of the Renter will be charged RM 70- RM1000.

   21.Any early or late of returning the rental vehicle should be informed to the owner by the renter at least 1 hour prior to the return time. Extra hours upon company permission will be charged RM15/hour.
